Elizabeth L. Egner (nee Longsdorf), "Bettie" of Ambler, formerly of Meadowbrook, on December 5, 2016 at age 98.
Beloved daughter of the late Claire Henry and Edna Longsdorf, dear sister to the late Robert H. Longsdorf and loving wife of fifty years to the late Fred R. Egner.
Survived by her son, Robert D. (Bridgett) Egner of Tiburon, CA; daughter Barbara E. Meyers (Howard) of St. Davids, PA; and grandsons Matthew, John (Nicole) and Brett Meyers.
Bettie was an animal lover, gardener and avid sports fan, attending her last Phillies game at the age of 90. She volunteered at Abington Memorial Hospital for over 38 years and was a member of Fox Chase United Methodist Church for 50 years.
Burial will be private. Friends are invited to a celebration of her life on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 1:30 PM in the Auditorium of Gwynedd Estates, 301 Norristown Rd, Ambler, PA 19002. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Fox Chase United Methodist Church, 201 Loney St., Philadelphia, PA 19111 or Abington Health Foundation, 1200 Old York Rd, Abington, PA 19001.
