Obituary of Donald Jason Wright

Donald J. Wright, age 86, a resident of Doylestown, PA and formerly of New Hope, PA died on May 6, 2015. He was the devoted husband of the late Shirley Maurer Wright for 57 years until her death in 2008. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Elwood Wright and the late Blanche Elbe Wright. Don graduated from Northeast High School in 1947, and received a diploma in marketing and advertisement from Charles Morris Price. He served as a Sergeant First Class during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He worked for 35 years as Senior Vice-President at Tolas Corporation and then 25 years as a partner with Shirley at Weichert Realtors in Yardley, PA. He served for 20 years as a Master Mason at the Concordia Lodge in Jenkintown, PA. Don was most proud to serve a three year term as a Deacon at the Doylestown Presbyterian Church from 2009 to 2012. He is survived by his loving daughters and their spouses: Debbie and Bob Haines, Jayne Wright, Donna and John Walsh and Cheryl Wright and by his five grandchildren; Tim, Jason, Mary, Peter, and Sarah. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday May 11, 2015, Doylestown Presbyterian Church 127 E. Court Street, Doylestown, where friends will be received from 10:00 until the time of the service. A reception will follow the service.
