Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Schiech) Guilfoyle, 81, passed away on August 19, 2010 at the Holy Redeemer Hospice in Meadowbrook. She was the wife of 61 years to Calvert H. Guilfoyle.

She loved traveling, entertaining, playing bridge, and sharing her many antics with her friends and family. Starting college at the age of 36, married with two children, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming an elementary school teacher. She taught 4th grade at Thomas Fitzwater Elementary School for 27 years.

Known for her kind and caring ways, she will be sadly missed by all those people whose lives she touched.

In addition to her husband Calvert, she is survived by her children Thomas (Jacqueline) and Jeanne. She is also survived by her granddaughter Heather Solish (Scott).

A Memorial Service was held on Monday Aug. 23, 2010 at at 1:30 PM at Normandy Farms Estates, 9000 Twin Silo Dr. Blue Bell, PA.
